CURRENT 2024 LIFE GROUPS

The main purpose of the life group is fellowship, Bible study, and Christian accountability. It’s meant to encourage and strengthen one another and is the main source of discipleship that cares for each person that attends. Life groups are the best place to connect and fellowship with other believers. At Covenant Fellowship, life groups are designed for you to develop deeper relationships with others who can encourage and challenge you to consistently to apply the truths of God’s Word to each area of your life.

Bible/Book/SERMON based groups

Bible or book based groups concentrate on discussions and insights from the Bible and Christian literature. These groups provide an environment to ask candid questions about the actual content of the Bible/book. Open communication and the pursuit for knowledge in these groups encourage others to share what God is doing in their lives and how He is working through the message to grow them in faith.

ONLINE BIBLE STUDY

This group is led by Lou and Robbin Christein.  Lou and Robbin are Bible School Graduates with a heart to see other grow in their knowledge of the Word.  This group meets once a week online.

RENEWED HOPE MINISTRIES

This group is led by Connie Cook. Renewed Hope Ministries is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. This group uses Divorce Care curriculum.

This is a life group for individuals and families. Every lesson has videos and resources for every age.  This will be online curriculum that is free and we will do a Zoom Meeting once a month to review the material, allow people to share testimony, and go deeper in the Word.This is an online app. You can find out more here.

The men and women of Covenant Fellowship meet on the second Saturday of each month to share a meal, fellowship, and grow in the Lord. All ages are welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Ladies' brunch

This group is led by Carla Humphreys.  Carla brings together women of all ages to fellowship and grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord. Childcare is provided for the Ladies Brunch.  This group meets one Saturday each month at CFC.      

Men's breakfast

This group is led by Paul Moss.  Paul and his wife, Lisa, are Pastors of the Ministry of Helps and Paul serves as Deacon of Transportation.  Paul leads men to find purpose and friendship, while pursuing God.  This group meets one Saturday Morning each month at various restaurants.

Hobby/interest groups

Do you like to hike? Are you interested in fishing? Could you use some help to get organized? Perhaps you have small children and need a playdate. Could you benefit from a stroll in the park? Individuals in these groups have something in common. They meet for an activity, but spend part of their time together growing and encouraging each other in the Lord.

Rock Painting

This group is led by Matt Fields. It is a tribe of men that meet weekly for rugged, outdoor workouts, and real-world devotions around a fire. We are a commnn men with an uncommon desire to succeed.

women's alliance

This group is led by Carletta Fields. It is a tribe of women that meet in-person weekly for an outdoor workout and real-devotion around a fire. There are levels of leadership, challenges, and events!

House fires - sermon based groups

Based on sermons from our Lead Pastor, Michael Booker, these groups dive deeper into the rhema word of the Lord for Covenant Fellowship. These groups produce a culture of being "doers of the Word", while contributing to unity within the Covenant Fellowship body. House Fires create a venue for questions and sharpens the message preached.

The Mikles home

This group is led by Jeremy and Amy Mikles.  They are the Life Group Pastors at CFC.  This is a kid friendly Life Group done in their home one month and alternates with the next month being a night of worship at The CF Center.  House Fires dives into a Sermon Series from CFC.  

Prayer groups

Prayer is such an important discipline in the life of a believer. It changes hearts, infuses strength, helps us overcome, and creates an atmosphere where miracles can happen. Believers in these prayer groups gather, in faith, on a regular basis to pray and lift up the name of Jesus. Some prayer groups have a specific focus like praying for their community or families, or praying for elections and government. Some meet to pray specifically for the pastoral leadership staff and church services.

how long are life groups?

The length of life groups vary per life group. Some last about 12 weeks, some are seasonal, and others go year around. Group leaders can provide more detailed information on the length of particular groups.

what can i expect at a life group?

Groups may be structured by gender, stage of life, age, common interest, activity or topic. Groups are based on the biblical model found in Acts 2:42-47 that records amazing growth of the first church in Jerusalem. Therefore, most meetings include the following:
  • Teaching (bible studies, DVDs, books, devotions, etc.)
  • Fellowship
  • Breaking of Bread (meals/snacks are enjoyed by most groups)
  • Prayer
  • Care

how do I sign up?

If you do not see an active button for sign ups that means we have passed the beginning of the current semester. But we have several life groups that run all year long and you can join them at any time.
